Lovely view from room overlooking harbour. Friendly, helpful staff. Lovely evening meal (Mac n cheese). Nice temperature in room. Even our dog slept well with no whining and restlessness as her usual.

Ullapool has the feel of an old fashioned fishing village.Most hotels are smaller and very quaint.The Argyll would fit this description.We love this type of hotel.If you are looking for a Marriott, this probably isn't your type of place.Our room had a nice king size bed and a little

Car broke down when in Ullapool, phoned and managed to get a room for 1 night, guy at reception couldn’t be more helpful, coming back again I would definitely stay here.

First off I had not been given the impression that this was a turn key hotel.The stairs and hallway were smashed up and gloomy and the room and facilities were not very clean or functional.The only people that we saw there was when the bar opened and a good proportion of the heavy and rowdy
